本单元的日常交际用语是围绕Suhai Suyang 和他们分父亲赏月时展开的，教材中提供了四种学生日常生活中经常会用到的星体 :太阳( sun )、月亮( moon )、星星( star)以及形容词大大的(big)、小小的(smal)、 明亮的(bright)。让学生通过多种情景，进行模仿、表演“Look at the …”、“ Oh, it’s … ”从而使他们能够在日常生活中自然流利的运用所学内容进行比较交流。
教师用介绍传统节日中秋节的方式，引入话题。教师用汉语询问是否知道中秋节，然后简要介绍中秋节的一些习俗。如果学生知道，可以让学生来谈一谈人们是怎样欢度中秋节的，教师尽量利用学生的生活体验，缩短教材与真实生活的距离。接着，通过课文图片进行看图说话，引出教学内容。
学习啦在线学习网 沈老师执教的是二年级第三单元look at the moon,因为讲的单词是关于太阳和月亮的，沈老师先让学生画一画关于圆形的东西，让学生们一边跟着说说一边用词语来形容一下太阳和月亮，就这样，就很顺利的教孩子们读sun和moon，也许是刚刚赏月的原因，学生们对moon的读法很有兴趣，沈老师便顺遂推舟的问学生：“你们怎么记住这个moon就是月亮呢?”孩子们想起了很多主义，看到oo就知道是月亮了，m开头，n结尾就知道是月亮了，孩子们你一言我一语的说开了。接着教孩子们说chant,一个简单的bright串起了三个简单的chant,为了让孩子们能够记住，结合动作，学生们的积极性提高了，而且简单的顺口溜孩子们都说起来了，很快，一堂课就在孩子们的读、说‘演的过程中结束了。
